Leicestershire Foxes announced the signing of explosive international batsman Luke Ronchi as their second overseas player for NatWest T20 Blast in March 2017.

The 35-year-old is vastly experienced having played 32 T20Is and will be available for the Foxes in all 14 group games.

Upon signing for the club, Ronchi had scored 1,619 T20 career runs at a very impressive strike rate of 141.89.

Ronchi has represented New Zealand on 112 occasions across all three formats, including 76 ODIs. He played a key role in the Black Caps side that reached the ICC World Cup Final in 2015.

Ronchi also made an appearance against Leicestershire that year, posting a 71-ball century as part of a sixth wicket stand worth 221 in 25.1 overs with former Fox Grant Elliott at the Fischer County Ground.

All told, Ronchi has scored in excess of 11,000 runs in first-class and white ball cricket and will bring a wealth of knowledge and explosive batting power to the Foxes line-up.

Ronchi also has good experience of English conditions having played for Somerset and Warwickshire as well as touring with New Zealand.
