The former Leicestershire seamer is now working in the role of Second XI coach and Bowling Coach at Grace Road.
Tennant will also help Phil Whitticase run the Leicestershire Academy as part of the coaching restructure. His support and expertise will be invaluable to Whitticase and the players he works with.
As well as carrying out those duties, Tennant will continue to develop the squad of young seam bowlers at Grace Road which includes Nathan Buck, Wayne White, Alex Wyatt and Tom Wells.
As a lively seam bowler, Tennant had a five-year career with Leicestershire and made a handful of first team appearances in first-class and limited overs cricket before moving into coaching.
Tennant worked closely with Stuart Broad as he made his way into the game and has helped a number of promising young fast bowlers make good progress in their careers.
