Slow left arm spinner James Sykes had an outstanding season for Leicestershire Second XI and has been rewarded with a contract.
Sykes took 59 wickets in all competitions, including a mighty impressive haul of 32 in the Championship.
He took eleven wickets and scored fifty in an outstanding performance during the impressive win at Durham.
The spinner also made key contributions in the shorter format of the game as the Second XI got to t20 Finals Day and registered some impressive wins in the Trophy.
Sykes was a member of the Leicestershire CCC Academy last year and also had a good season for Stoughton and Thurnby CC.
