Nathan Buck and Josh Cobb again performed well for England under 19s as they wrapped up a test victory against Bangladesh inside three days.
Buck, who took two wickets in the first innings, claimed another two in the second as Bangladesh were bowled out for 276.
His 2-31 off 15 overs led to overall match figures of 4-69 off 27, so he performed admirably on a pitch that suited the spinners.
Off-spinner Azeem Rafiq took six second-innings wickets to go with leggie Scott Borthwick’s five in the first.
Baring that in mind, Buck will be pleased with his efforts.
It meant England needed 45 to win, and Cobb wasn’t in the mood to hang about.
After making an outstanding 220 in the first dig, Cobb took his match aggregate to 251 with an unbeaten 31 from just 18 balls with four fours and two sixes as England romped home in the seventh over.
Cobb and James Taylor will not be part of the second test, as they will link back up with the County first-team squad for the game against Middlesex, although Buck will be involved again at Derbyshire on Sunday.
