Under 19s test abandoned

As England suffers with snow, the national team's youngsters had more typical cricket weather in South Africa - rain!

England Under-19 were scheduled to play a one-off Test against their South Africa counterparts, but the match was abandoned without a ball bowled following days of heavy rain.

Umpires Zed Ndamane and Brad White had little alternative but to call the game off on the final day with Willowmoore Park in Benoni still unplayable.

The result means coach Andy Pick’s side will fly home without the opportunity to gain revenge for defeats in the one-day and Twenty20 series.

Despite the defeats, Leicestershire youngsters Josh Cobb, James Taylor and Nathan Buck all performed well and enjoyed their experience.
