Nathan Buck put in two terrific performances as England Lions drew their two-match t20 series with Bangladesh A.
Lions beat Bangladesh A by 32 runs in the first game with Buck taking the brilliant return of 3-16 from four overs.
The paceman was at it again in the second fixture, again finishing with the best figures of the attack by picking up 3-22 from his allocation. Bangladesh A went on to win by 11 runs.
Jason Roy smashed 40 off 19 balls in the first match and James Vince (32 from 33) and James Taylor (28 off 30) helped Lions post a competitive 143-6.
Bangladesh A would have fancied the chase but were bowled out for 111. Buck and Danny Briggs (2-16) were the pick of the attack while Jack Brooks, Stuart Meaker and Scott Borthwick were also economical
The hosts’ batting was far better in the second game and they made 166-6. Lions had Tom Maynard (68 from 52) and former Leicestershire man Taylor (42 off 36) in fine fettle but came up short on 155-7.
Buck's overall statistics on the tour to Bangladesh make for impressive reading. The seamer picked up 6-38 from eight t20 overs with a fantastic average of 6.33 and economy rate of 4.75. Buck picked up four wickets in the ODI series while maintaining an economy rate below three.
The Leicestershire man will now travel to Sri Lanka for a five-match ODI series and the Club wishes Buck all the very best.
