Leicestershire CCC seamer Nathan Buck has been named in the England Lions squad for the forthcoming tour to Sri Lanka.
Buck retains his place after returning impressive figures of 2-2-0-2, 9-0-38-2 and 10-3-20-0 in the three games he played in Bangladesh. The paceman therefore ended with the fantastic average of 14.5 and a brilliant economy rate of just 2.76.
The Lions went down 3-2 and now face five ODI matches against Sri Lanka A, starting a week today (Friday, January 17).
There are a number of changes to the squad, with Jade Dernbach, Craig Kieswetter, Samit Patel and Chris Woakes coming in.
ECB National Selector Geoff Miller said: "The Sri Lanka tour will provide a further opportunity for us to assess players in the 50-over format before we finalise selection for the senior team’s one-day Series against Pakistan in UAE next month.
"Jade Dernbach, Craig Kieswetter, Samit Patel and Chris Woakes will be keen to use this tour to press their claims for a place in our One-Day Squad as will the other Lions players who recently completed the tour of Bangladesh."
