Indoor School

Leicestershire are lucky to possess a fabulous indoor cricket school, now named the Mike Turner Cricket Centre after the man who fulfilled a number of roles during his loyal service at Leicestershire CCC.

The cricket centre has three top-of-the-range cricket nets which are available to hire during those long winter evenings and weekends.

Our facilities can keep you in shape as you approach the upcoming season and help develop your cricketing skills.

We also offer school holiday clinics and both group and individual coaching. The clinics and individual sessions are run at the cricket centre during each school holiday. Hard and soft balls are used for the diifering players’ abilities.

They cater for boys and girls aged between 6 and 18 and are designed to focus on batting and bowling. You can learn to bat like James Taylor or bowl like Matthew Hoggard.

The individual coaching gives you either a half hour or an hour session, which is one- to-one with a coach. This allows you to dvelop the specific skills of your choice - whether you are a Taylor, a Hoggard or an all-rounder like Andrew McDonald.

Our coaches are qualified to a minimum of UKCC Level 2 and have first aid, Child Protection and a clear Criminal Records Bureau check.

Our coaches include Dips Patel, Stephen Franklin and Suresh Keshwal, who are all involved in the Leicesterhire & Rutland Cricket Board's County and District progammes.

They are supported by UKCC Level 4 coaches Russell Cobb, Phil Whitticase and Lloyd Tennant.

The complex at the Bennett End of the ground also includes a gymnasium, syndicate rooms and lecture theatre as well as the main cricket hall.

Changing rooms, showers, viewing gallery, bar and social area are all available to participants in such activities, while there is car parking within close proximity.

Equipment can be offered for hire and packages tailored to the requirements of your company training.
