Was elected Chairman of the Club following the formation of a new Board of Directors in 2004 when an Independent Review Body Report led to a change of constitution. He was awarded the C.B.E in the New Year's Honours List in December 2005 in recognition of his contribution to the dairy industry, having served as Chief Executive of Arla Foods UK. His time in that role was notable for Arla's merger with Express Dairies which strengthened the company's position as the United Kingdom's largest milk and cream supplier.
Played over 300 first team games for Warwickshire County Cricket Club and represented England at under 19, 25, and A Team Levels. Was Warwickshire County Cricket Club Committee member for nine years. Was first part of Leics cricket as Chairman of the Leicestershire and Rutland cricket board – a role he still carries out.
Also has 20 years of PLC experience working in the Leisure and Entertainment Industry (10 years at Divisional Board Level). Member of the ECB Cricket Committee since September 2008
