Whitticase then joined the coaching staff at Grace Road and was named as Head Coach from the 2001 season. He was also named Academy Director in 2003 and continued in those roles when Tim Boon was named Senior Coach in 2006.
Whitticase will still oversee the development and progress of the young players at the Club as well as conducting his first team duties.
