Charlie Shreck joined Leicestershire in 2014 after making a big impact at both Nottinghamshire and Kent. His experience and control was a key feature of the Leicestershire attack.
Shreck became the joint leading wicket-taker in first-class cricket alongside new ball partner Nathan Buck and lifted the Frank S Smith Cup for Bowling in the First XI as a result. His batting was also as entertaining as it was useful, and a maiden first-class 50 at Surrey was one of the highlights of the season.
The 36-year-old also broke into the RL50 and NT20B teams for Leicestershire Foxes, and he picked up wickets as well as maintaining an impressive economy rate.
Shreck first caught the eye at Cornwall before making his first-class debut for Nottinghamshire in 2003. The tall seamer has since claimed 432 first-class wickets at an average a shade above 30, including a career best return of 8-31.
The seamer collected more than 400 wickets in all competitions during a highly successful nine-year spell at Trent Bridge. Shreck then sought a new challenge at Kent and was the county's leading LV=CC wicket-taker in the two years he spent at the St Lawrence Ground, picking up 55 wickets in 2012 and 33 in 2013.
