Durham 2nd XI 274 (Masters 5-61) drew with Leicestershire 126 (Rushworth 6-22) and 217-3 (Thompson 101, Smith 82)
Leicestershire Seconds drew at Durham in a rain-affected Championship match at South Northumberland CC last week.
After the first day was lost to rain, County got off to a nightmare start by being reduced to 0-2 early on as Luke Evans and Mark Davies claimed wickets.
Although there was a recovery, Chris Rushworth took 6-22 as Leicestershire largely struggled in the first innings and made just 126.
The top-scorer was Chris Thompson with 26, while Jacques du Toit made 24 and Wayne White 20.
Durham then made 274 in their first knock. Dan Masters impressed with 5-61 while White chipped in with a three-for.
Leics fared much better second time round, scoring 217-3 with Thompson again on form.
The batsman made an impressive 101, sharing an excellent partnership with Greg Smith, who made an equally-important 82.
It meant the game finished in with a draw, with County taking plenty of heart from a spirited fightback after the first-innings struggle.
