HSBC Merchant Services a new sponsor

Leicestershire CCC is delighted to announce a new sponsor for the 2010 season - HSBC Merchant Services.

HSBC Merchant Services, a leading provider of card processing services and a well-known local employer, is set to become a familiar name at Grace Road.

In addition to first team sponsorship, young players at the Indoor Cricket School will benefit from valuable financial support. “Leicestershire Cricket Club is the perfect partner for us,” said Darren Wilson, CEO at HSBC Merchant Services.

“We employ over 300 people in our Leicester Head Office and though we offer national coverage, supporting the local community is especially important to us. We very much look forward to building an ongoing and mutually successful relationship with everyone at the Club”.

HSBC Merchant Services provide all the behind-the-scenes transactional support between a merchant and a cardholder when a payment is made using a credit or debit card.

In 2009, international payment processing specialists Global Payments Inc acquired the card processing business known as HSBC Merchant Services from HSBC Bank plc.
