Leicestershire CCC today made a special presentation to Phil Whitticase and Andy Ward for 25 years loyal service to the Club.
Whitticase, who had a long and successful playing career at the Club, is currently Academy Director as well as Assistant Coach to Tim Boon.
He oversees the Second XI as well as all of his other duties and his hard work is valued by everyone at the Club.
Ward took over as Head Groundsman from Andy Whiteman last season, and the hard work put in by himself and his team over the long, harsh winter was much appreciated.
Both were presented with their mementoes by Club President David Wilson at the interval of the Clydesdale Bank 40-over victory against Nottinghamshire outlaws.
Chief Executive Officer David Smith said: “We wanted to recognise the duo for their fabulous service to Leicestershire County Cricket Club. Their hard work is much appreciated and we thank them for their efforts over the years.”
