A terrific alliance between Ned Eckersley and Alex Wyatt led Leicestershire to a famous two-wicket win against Yorkshire in the Second XI Trophy at Grace Road.
Yorkshire set a testing 178-6 in a game reduced to 37 overs with slow left armer James Sykes taking two wickets.
Leicestershire were struggling on 80-8 but Eckersley’s excellent unbeaten 94 and Wyatt’s important 32 not out helped the team overhaul their target without further loss.
Earlier in the day, seam trio Harry Gurney, Nadeem Malik and Wyatt took one wicket apiece and the team also completed a run out.
Alex Lees' 65 was Yorkshire's top score while all-rounder Lee Hodgson chipped in with a valuable 33.
