Leicestershire Second XI had an excellent 158-run win against Sussex in a three-day friendly at Stirlands CC.
Will Jones made 159 and Ned Eckersley 95 as Leicestershire Second XI racked up 401-8 on the first day of the game.
The team declared overnight and Jones followed up his excellent batting by taking two wickets in Sussex's first innings along with fellow spinner James Sykes.
Alex Wyatt also bowled extremely well and took a wicket along with Will MacVicar and Rob Taylor.
Sussex declared on 293-7 and Leicestershire then posted 199-5 declared in their second innings with Lewis Hill making 50 and Taylor 45.
That meant Sussex required 308 to win but captain Nathan Buck (4-36) and Taylor (3-14) got to work on the Sussex order as they were dismissed for 149.
