Nixon and Sykes star in Seconds win

Paul Nixon scored a century and James Sykes took eight wickets as Leicestershire Seconds landed an excellent victory against a strong Durham side in the Championship.

Nixon's ton allowed the team to declare on the final morning and set the hosts a challenging 317 to win at Durham Emirates ICG.

They started with intent but Sykes took magnificent figures of 8-40 to finish with eleven wickets in the match.

The slow left armer also made 54 in Leicestershire's first innings so had an outstanding all-round game.

Durham's last pair battled hard for an hour but Leicestershire kept patient and bowled out Durham for 192 to seal a 125-run win.
