An excellent century from Pete Handscomb and some other good contributions helped Leicestershire Second XI record victory against MCC Universities at Kibworth CC.
Leicestershire made 290 on the first day with Kadeer Ali, Ned Eckersley and Paul Hindmarch all making scores above 50.
MCC were bowled out for 210 in their first innings as Andy Sutton claimed three wickets. Rob Taylor, Ollie Freckingham and James Sykes took two apiece.
Handscomb made a terrific unbeaten 113 in the final session to guide Leicestershire to 186-2 in their second innings; a lead of 266.
Handscomb was out for 117 on the final day but Kadeer made his second half-century of the game and Rob Taylor also posted 50 as the team set MCC 340 to win.
The visitors were only three wickets down at tea but spinners Sykes, Kadeer and Will Jones shared seven wickets as County powered to victory in the final session. Seamer Freckingham was also among the wickets.
