Leicestershire CCC completed a successful skydive at Langar Airfield in aid of the Club Benefit and Rainbows Children's Hospice.
On a bright and fine day, Chairman Paul Haywood, and players Josh Cobb, Greg Smith, Michael Thornely and James Sykes completed the jump.
Members of Paul’s family also participated, including Kirsty Smith, Laura Adams, Grettel Dunkley and Sara Newcombe.
Greg was filmed on the way down and we hope to get footage onto the website in due course.
Haywood said: "It was a fantastic experience. We skydived in groups. Everybody had the same feeling of exhilaration and satisfaction afterwards. The emotions and views while you are floating to earth will be remembered by us all.
"The banter on the ground before and after each group had skydived was funny and the support of friends and family who came to watch was brilliant. I would like to thank the players and ladies who took part. The two 17 year olds were so calm, as were the other ladies. Well done everybody.
"It is still not to late to sponsor the skydivers as they are all on twitter or facebook. It can also be done on the club website. Thanks to all that came to Langar."
The brave jumpers have raised plenty of money so far but you can still sponsor them through our Paypal page on the front of the Club’s website. (www.leicestershireccc.co.uk)
