Date: Wednesday 31 October 2012
Leicestershire Cricket Society members and guests are in for a treat as ECB first-class umpire Martin Bodenham is the next guest speaker.
Bodenham made history by becoming the first person to officiate at the highest level of football and cricket when he joined the ECB Umpires List.
Followers of Leicester City will be aware that Bodenham refereed the 1997 League Cup final against Middlesbrough at Wembley and the replay at Hillsborough, where Steve Claridge got the winning goal.
Bodenham will be speaking about his career in professional sport in the Charles Palmer Suite at Grace Road on Thursday, November 15 from 7.30pm.
For membership details and a full schedule, please follow the link here. Non-members can come and pay on the night at a cost of £5 a ticket.
