Leicestershire CCC is pleased to announce that promising all-rounder Ben Raine has signed a contract for the 2014 season.
Raine made a good impression in the Leicestershire Second XI in 2013 before forcing his way into the first team by the end of the season.
The left-hander, who has previously been on Durham’s staff, posted his maiden first-class half-century at Lancashire and also took 4-98 on his debut at Glamorgan.
The 22-year-old also played two List A games for the Foxes at Glamorgan and Middlesex and his all-round abilities will be an asset to the team.
One player who will not be at Grace Road next season is Robbie Williams, who has not been offered a new contract.
The seam bowler produced some good performances for the Club but sadly suffered a number of injuries throughout the 2013 season. We wish him well for the future.
