A measured century from new Leicestershire CCC signing Joe Burns helped Queensland move past Tasmania in their latest Sheffield Shield game.
Tasmania posted 245 in their first innings and Queensland were soon in big trouble with Burns walking to the crease on a hat-trick with the score on 18-3.
However, Burns posted a calm unbeaten 104 from 273 balls to guide the team to 262-9 at stumps at the halfway stage of the match.
The knock, which was Burns' fifth first-class hundred, was part of a vital 138-run stand for the 7th wicket with captain James Hopes.
