Leicestershire County Cricket Club is pleased to announce that Jim Overend has been appointed as Commercial Manager. He takes up his new role at the beginning of October.
Jim joins LCCC from Loughborough University where he is Head of Alumni Relations and is responsible for engaging with the organisation’s 140,000 plus alumni.
Prior to Loughborough, Jim worked at Leicester Tigers for more than ten years across community and commercial roles.
Jim was responsible for building local partnerships and generating income from both public and commercial sources. He managed testimonial years for players including Martin Johnson, Austin Healey and Lewis Moody.
Jim, who lives in Leicestershire and is married with two small children said: “I am delighted to be joining Leicestershire County Cricket Club.
“I know and respect the great history of the Club and I’m looking forward to meeting members and supporters, and working with colleagues and local partners to ensure the club achieves its full potential.”
Leicestershire CCC Chief Executive Mike Siddall said: “I am delighted that Jim is joining at a very important time for the Club to help grow the commercial income of the business in line with challenging targets and an ambitious development plan.”
