O'Brien and Taylor ready for action

Niall O’Brien and Rob Taylor are ready for a series of crunch ICC World T20 qualifying fixtures for Ireland and Scotland respectively.

Both teams are involved in the opening round of fixtures on Friday as Ireland take on Namibia in Abu Dhabi while Scotland play Bermuda in Sharjah.

There are 16 teams involved in the competition and six places up for grabs for the tournament proper in Bangladesh next year. The first two positions are available for teams who top their respective groups.

Ireland’s group (A) includes Namibia, United Arab Emirates, Uganda, Canada, USA, Hong Kong and Italy. Scotland are in Group B along with Afghanistan, Netherlands, Nepal, Bermuda, Kenya, Papua New Guinea and Denmark.
