Joe Burns made a battling 32 to help Queensland draw the Sheffield Shield Final against Tasmania but it was not enough to land the title.

Tasmania set the tone in their first innings as they posted 419 in a mammoth 173.4 overs to take the sting out of the game.
Queensland replied with 225 before Tasmania made 251 in their second innings. That set Queensland a very stiff target of 446 and they closed on 183-6 with Burns posting his runs from 89 balls with three fours.
