ESCA/Bunbury Festival coming to Grace Road

Leicestershire County Cricket Club is delighted to host the T20 Semi-Finals of the 28th English Schools Cricket Association/Bunbury Festival.

The semi-finals will be held at Grace Road on Wednesday 23rd July between the four regions – London & East, North, Midlands & South West. The final will then be held at Oakham School on Friday 25th July.

Entrance will be free, and this is an excellent opportunity to see the best 44 young cricketers in the Country at U15 level.

This will be the 28th festival - the previous 27 have given rise to 320 future first-class cricketers, and 61 'Bunburys' have gone on to play for England. The most recent examples being Ben Stokes and Joe Root, both Bunburys in 2006.

The County has strong connections with the festival. Indeed, current Senior Coach Ben Smith was the very first Bunbury in 1987 and County players have featured regularly ever since, Shiv Thakor being the most recent.

It should be an exciting day with two games of T20 cricket, one starting at 11am and the other at 2pm. Catering will be available in The Meet and in The Fox Bar. Please come along and see the next generation of England cricketers.
