Seconds lose at Durham in Trophy

SET: Durham 2nd XI 176-4 (G.Muchall 71*, Garside 2-23) beat Leicestershire 2nd XI 173 (Nixon 60, Borthwick 4-42) by six wickets.

Leicestershire Seconds lost out to Durham in an SET game at South Northumberland CC last week.

Although Paul Nixon top-scored with 60, the team could only make 173, with leg-spinner Scott Borthwick claiming 4-42.

In reply, Durham reached their target for the loss of four wickets.

Gordon Muchall led the way with an unbeaten 71, while Kieran Garside was the most successful bowler with 2-23.

There were also wickets for Henry Jones and Alex Roberts.
