Daniel Masters is the younger brother of David, who played successfully for Leicestershire between 2004 and 2007 and is now at Essex.
His bowling action is very similar to his brother’s, and he generates good pace and carry.
Born in Chatham, Kent, Masters played for their second XI before coming to Leicestershire during 2009.
He impressed during pre-season and played second XI cricket before making his List A debut for the club at Warwickshire.
Masters took the team’s only wicket that day and impressed on what was a difficult afternoon for the club.
It was an impressive scalp too; that of dangerman Neil Carter. Masters will now hope to continue his development in 2010.
