Porsche put Academy in the fast lane
Leicestershire CCC are delighted to announce that Porsche Centre Leicester have become the new Official Academy Partner for the 2017 season.
The luxury high performance car company have signed an initial one-year contract with the club and will have their branding on Academy kit throughout the 2017 campaign.
Leicestershire CCC Academy Director Andy Siddall said: “It is fantastic that Porsche Centre Leicester have become our main sponsor ahead of the 2017 season. To have the support of a global brand behind the club’s Academy is magnificent.”
“It will give our players a real boost to take the field knowing that they are sponsored by Porsche Centre Leicester, they will be very proud to wear the brand. It’s excellent to be able to raise the level and profile of our programme by aligning the Academy with such a world class brand.
“I’d like to thank Porsche Centre Leicester for their support ahead of an exciting season for the Academy and Leicestershire Young Cricketers.”

The Porsche partnership is the first of a number of exciting new initiatives created by the Academy, as Siddall explains.
He said: “The club receives money from the ECB towards the club’s Academy but we are always looking to raise additional funds to help us develop and improve the programme. The Leicestershire Young Cricketers programme for our younger age groups is funded by support raised externally therefore we are also looking for sponsors across all of the teams and have a number of exciting packages available.”
“Additionally we are running our second Academy and Leicestershire Young Cricketers Golf Day on Friday 16th June, all funds raised will go towards the future of the club. Any help from local businesses and supporters would be appreciated, so please get in touch if you would like more details.”
