Welch rejoins Warwickshire

Leicestershire CCC Assistant Coach Graeme Welch has left the club to rejoin Warwickshire CCC as Bowling Coach.

Welch started his professional playing career with the Bears, scoring 3,154 runs and taking 273 wickets for Warwickshire in all formats of the game before returning to Edgbaston in a coaching capacity.

The 41-year-old joined Leicestershire as Assistant Coach ahead of the 2017 season and also worked closely with the bowlers during his year at the Fischer County Ground.

Welch said: "I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Leicestershire but I spent a lot of years at Warwickshire as a player and coach and have accepted the opportunity to return to Edgbaston. I’d like to thank everybody at Leicestershire CCC for their support and wish the club well in the future."

Leicestershire CCC Chief Executive Wasim Khan MBE said: "Graeme has made a big impact both as an Assistant Coach and a Bowling Coach in his time at the club, and leaves with our best wishes for the future."
