FoGR holding winter events
The Friends of Grace Road (FoGR) are running events throughout the winter, including their inaugural Autumn Fayre on Saturday, October 14.
It is being held in the Charles Palmer Suite at the Fischer County Ground, Grace Road between 10am and 3pm.
The FoGR are delighted to announce that a very special guest will open the event. Former Leicestershire and England wicket-keeper Paul Nixon shall be in attendance and will be delighted to sign autographs and pose for selfies!
The FoGR will have its own stalls for Tombola; Christmas cards and gifts; table top sale (bric-a-brac items); and second hand Sports Books and Memorabilia. They will also have a stall for their legendary homemade cakes.
* A series of winter lunches will be held by the FoGR in the Charles Palmer Suite at the Fischer County Ground, Grace Road. The lunches start at 12.30pm but the Fox Bar will be open at 12 noon if anyone wishes to enjoy a pre-lunch drink.
Dates of the lunches are as follows, with details of our Christmas Lunch to come in due course:

* The FoGR are holding the third edition of their annual quiz in November. Cropston Cricket Club have won the first two events – so the FoGR are looking for challengers!
The exciting general knowledge quiz, with questions to suit all ages and interests, will be held on Friday, November 10 in the Charles Palmer Suite at the Fischer County Ground.
Teams of up to four people are welcome to participate. The entry price is £20 per team, including a hot buffet. Quiz teams will include LCCC players & coaches, LCCC staff, FoGR volunteers, Leicestershire Cricket Society & local sports clubs.
Spectators are welcome to attend free of charge. The Fox Bar is open from 6.30pm and the quiz starts at 7.15pm.
