Leicestershire County Cricket Club is currently looking to recruit for the following position:

Membership & Ticketing Sales Executive


Summary of Job Purpose:

The role of Membership & Ticketing Sales Executive is crucial to the growth and long-term success of Leicestershire County Cricket Club.

The Membership & Ticketing Sales Executive will need to have strong communication skills, absolute attention to detail, delivering a great customer experience plus a thorough understanding of the processes/procedures involved. The Membership & Ticketing Sales Executive will be required to work closely with our commercial team to ensure a first-class customer experience remains a top priority at all times.


Key Responsibilities:

- Improve the customer experience and purchase journey for all purchases, both online and offline

- Work with the commercial team on planning and implementing strategies to grow the Membership

- Work with the commercial team on planning and implementing strategies to increase ticket sales at the Fischer County Ground with the aim to sell out all T20 games in the next two years 

- Produce an effective events programme for all Members

- Liaison with the commercial team to improve the online purchasing process

- Liaison with the club’s ticket system supplier to ensure the club improves efficiency

- Be partly responsible for the sales and marketing of Membership and Ticketing at the club

- Monitoring and management of income and expenditure of agreed annual budgets and targets

- Day-to-day Membership and customer liaison

- Responsible for the production and timely mailing of tickets

- Responsible for the management and timely distribution of all Membership information and packs

- Responsible for the distribution of the club’s AGM information and other mailouts

- Co-ordination and distribution of any Membership mailings in co-operation with the Marketing department

- Prepare and keep accurate sales reports for all Membership and Ticketing sales as required by the Deputy Chief Executive Officer (DCEO) 

- Responsible for the upkeep and development of the Membership & Ticketing CRM databases, including accurate capture and cleansing of contactable and legally collected data

- Responsible for the production and mailing of promotional material for Membership and Ticketing, to include the collation of data and information

- Assess and implement new technology/systems where necessary

- Work towards and achieve Key Performance Indicators as determined by the England and Wales Cricket Board and targets set by the DCEO

- Management of Ticketing and reception support staff

Person specification:


The job holder will ideally have a recognised and relevant qualification or equivalent experience


Training and Experience:


- At least two years experience of working in a similar role


- Experience of working in a customer-facing role

- Experience of working in a major sporting club environment

- Previous or current experience of using ticketing and booking systems

- Previous or current experience of using a CRM platform


Personal Attributes, Aptitudes and Abilities:

- Previous experience in working with customers in a sporting arena

- Competent with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and ability to complete a ‘mail merge’ using Microsoft Word

- Exceptional organisational skills 

- Attention to detail and thorough documentation necessary

- Extremely motivated and passionate to drive LCCC Membership & Ticketing sales

- Knowledge of processes from quotation to campaign brief, data and text sign off

- Experience in sales and revenue creation

- Highly motivated with a willingness to learn and develop

- Excellent communication skills

- Highly organised, efficient and a structured thinker

- Team player with the ability to work with varied stakeholders

- Ability to work extended hours in season


Other information:

The Membership & Ticketing Sales Executive will be required to work at all LCCC home games and on Membership/Club events which may take place in the evenings or at weekends.

Line Manager Position: DCEO  

Location: Normally the Fischer County Ground, but as and where required by the DCEO

Remuneration: Dependent on experience
