Leicestershire County Cricket Club (LCCC) is one of the 18 first-class county clubs which make up the English and Welsh national cricket structure. LCCC represents the city of Leicester, the county of Leicestershire and other neighbouring, supportive counties.

There are currently two positions that the club is recruiting for:

Chief Executive Officer (see below)

Marketing & Communications Executive

 

Professional cricket is at an exciting point with the recent approval of a new strategy for the game by the ECB. Alongside the endorsement of a number of key projects, this will support the sustainability and future growth of cricket in England and Wales.

To secure its own independent future, LCCC needs to establish and implement a robust commercial business plan that fully exploits Grace Road (HQ of LCCC) as a cricket venue and an all year round location for entertainment, conferences, meetings and events. The club’s ambition is to improve performance across the match and non-match day experience and to generate funds for future investment in the club’s infrastructure. 

To succeed Wasim Khan, a Chief Executive Officer is sought who will set a new strategy and provide leadership across all aspects of the club, with specific responsibility for the following:

- Management and Leadership

- Business Strategy

- Partnerships and Stakeholders

- Ground Development and Management

- Human Resources

 

Naturally, the expectations of the new CEO will be high and although experience of professional cricket is not essential, you must have proven managerial experience and commercial acumen.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about sport, commercially proven and customer orientated. Your track record will be one of progressive achievement at director level and your leadership credentials must be exemplary. Your success will be characterised by the delivery of challenging commercial and strategic goals through innovation and stakeholder engagement.

Leading a small and dynamic team, and liaising with varied stakeholders, this will require a high degree of inter-personal skill, professionalism and gravitas.

Given the multi-stakeholder environment of professional cricket, this role requires a determined and charismatic personality with the ability to motivate all participants.
