The Lion King

LCCC to host first outdoor cinema event

Leicestershire County Cricket Club is screening Disney classic The Lion King this summer as our first outdoor cinema event is held at the Fischer County Ground.

One of the most popular Disney animated musicals, The Lion King presents the story of a lion cub’s journey to adulthood and acceptance of his royal destiny. It features songs from Elton John, who performed live at our venue in 2016.

The film will be shown on our large replay screen on Saturday, July 21 with the audience sitting on the cricket outfield, so join us for this exciting event and make sure that you bring a picnic and a blanket.

We will be offering traditional cinema food and drink so expect to see popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, slushies and much more on sale so you can enjoy the movie in style!

Gates open at 12 noon with the film starting at 2pm. Family tickets are available for £20 (2 adults and 3 children), while individual tickets are priced at £8 for adults and £4 for children. Please note that prices will increase if there are any tickets available on the day.

On-site car parking can be pre-booked for £5 and, due to high demand, we recommend booking in advance. For disabled parking please call 0116 283 2128.
