Recruitment: Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Established in 1879, Leicestershire County Cricket Club (LCCC) is one of the nation’s 18 first-class cricket counties and operates within the sports and entertainment industry.

LCCC is seeking to appoint an individual for the following role:

Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach

Permanent, full-time

Salary: £18,000 & CPD budget of £2,000 for the successful applicant. 


This role will primarily cover the Academy & Sub Academy groups, with in-season support for the Second XI as well as selected pathways players. The successful applicant will be fully integrated into the Sports Science & Medicine team, working alongside the Head of Strength and Conditioning, Lead Physiotherapist, Second XI Physiotherapist & Academy Director on a daily basis. 

Due to the nature of the role an understanding of long-term athletic development is essential, with experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team in an academy environment a significant advantage. 

An undergraduate degree in a related field as well as good communication skills, proactive attitude and understanding of cricket are also essential for the successful applicant. UKSCA Accreditation (or other international qualification) is preferred with applicants working towards this also considered.
