The Leicester date is presented by live music promoters Cuffe and Taylor and follows the stunning success of this summer’s ‘Twenty Tour’ - Westlife’s fastest selling tour of all time.
“The reaction to our comeback tour was beyond anything any of us ever imagined so we’re going to do it all over again but this time in some of the largest outdoor venues in the UK. The shows are going to be incredible and will include all our greatest hits. We can’t wait to perform in Leicester,” say the band.
Speaking about the Stadiums in the Summer Tour coming to Leicestershire County Cricket Club, Chief Executive Karen Rothery said: “We are looking forward to Westlife performing at the Fischer County Ground next summer. To have such a successful band coming to Leicestershire is a really exciting event for both the club and the city.
“The Westlife show will be our second major concert event following the huge success of the Sir Elton John concert in 2016 and further establishes the Fischer County Ground as Leicestershire’s premier outdoor venue.”
