Leicestershire to face Nottinghamshire in a two-day friendly
In preparation for the upcoming domestic cricket season beginning on August 1, Leicestershire will face Nottinghamshire in a two-day friendly at Trent Bridge on July 28 and 29.
The red-ball clash will be the first match for Paul Nixon’s side since training resumed on July 1 at the Fischer County Ground.
Leicestershire Head Coach, Paul Nixon said; “We’ve been very keen for a friendly match to support the players with returning to competitive cricket.
“The players are in excellent shape and this will only support our preparation for the new season by getting match minutes into the players. It’s safe to say that the players can’t wait to get back into action”.
Play will begin at 11am on both days. The fixture is currently scheduled to take place behind closed doors. Regular updates will be posted across the club’s social media channels.
