It's a bold new chapter for the Foxes - Sean Jarvis
Sean Jarvis joins as Leicestershire County Cricket Club's new CEO
Former board member Sean Jarvis joins today (24 June) at a pivotal time in the club’s history.
He brings a wealth of sporting commercial experience to the club having spent the last 25 years in football. Sean joins from Huddersfield Town FC where he acted as commercial director for 14 years and before that, co-owned Oldham Athletic for a short spell.
Despite the lack of cricket being played across the country because of the global pandemic, Sean remains optimistic that the club will come out of the other side stronger.
“I am really excited to be in a position to bring my experience from Huddersfield Town FC to shape the future of Leicestershire County Cricket Club in the capacity as CEO,” said Sean.
“Like all sports clubs, cricket at the grounds and outreach sporting activity in the community has been put on hold for now.
“However, a considerable amount of work is taking place behind the scenes with the team to strengthen the offering at the Fischer County Ground, our identity, our vision and culture.
“I am taking the time to listen to our members and sponsors and look at how we can strengthen our relationships to make the future of this club a success for everyone.
“Our club has some fantastic facilities which we plan to leverage; we want to strengthen our Training Academy and give back to the community. I’m working closely with the board and the senior management team to develop and deliver a future-proof strategy.
“It’s a bold new chapter for the Foxes and one which I am proud to be involved in. Now, more than ever, the support of our sponsors and members will be valuable in securing the future of the club and its fantastic facilities.
“I have been incredibly humbled by the level of support they have shown us so far and I am confident, with their support, there is a bright future for the Foxes.”
