A Century A Day Challenge
Leicestershire County Cricket Club can announce the Foundation’s first fundraising initiative, a Century A Day.
The club have recently re-launched the Foundation, the charity arm of the club.
The club have partnered with two children’s charities, based in Leicestershire, who will benefit from funds raised for the Foundation. Alongside the charities, the Foundation will support LCCC’s Academy and local grassroots cricket clubs to support the next generation of young cricketers.
The first fundraising initiative is a Century A Day where the club are encouraging fans, members, sponsors and partners to sign-up to take part in the fundraising initiative which will run throughout November.
You can download your sponsorship form HERE. Also, join our Century A Day Strava group by clicking HERE, where you can track your own progress as well as keep up-to-date with how all the initiative participants are getting on. You can post pictures and track every one of your runs and we would love to follow your progress.
Please note that the club are working on setting up the LCCC Foundation’s Just Giving page, and will best endeavour to get it up and running as soon as possible. In the meantime, please use the sponsorship form above to keep track of your donations. The club recommends that no monies are exchanged and advise all participants to sign up to the Just Giving page once it is made available.
The initiative involves running, cycling or walking a Century A Day [minimum of 1 mile per day] from November 1 to November 30 to raise funds to go towards the LCCC Foundation.
Use #CenturyADay on social media and tag Leicestershire County Cricket Club so we can spread the word and encourage others to join the initiative.
Details of how to raise money will be published soon from the club's channels soon.
The funds raised will go towards supporting two local charities – Alex’s Wish and Healing Little Hearts - the LCCC Academy and local grassroots cricket clubs.
