The Captain's green jacket returns
Leicestershire County Cricket Club are pleased to announce that the Running Foxes’ Captain’s green blazer will be re-appearing at the toss.
Heading into his second season as Club Captain, Colin Ackermann has been working alongside Owen Scott Bespoke Tailors ahead of the 2021 season on a brand new, bespoke suit jacket that he will wear to all toss decisions prior to every 2021 fixture.
The blazer has, in line with the Club’s recent re-brand, reverted to the history of Leicestershire CCC by changing its shade of green.
It will feature a gold running fox on its chest, along with ‘Captain C.A’ on the inside left. A gold running fox badge, supplied by Made by Cooper, will feature as a lapel pin and will accompany the two gold buttons in the centre of the jacket, and the three gold buttons on the sleeve.
Further, the Club’s nickname; ‘Running Foxes’ will be included on the upturn of the neck collar.
The green jacket, complimented by its golden accents will finish with a white lining inside, around the collar and on the outside of the lapels.
Sean Jarvis, Chief Executive Officer of Leicestershire County Cricket Club commented: “The green blazer is just another aspect of the Club’s identity that I have been keen to update and implement heading into the 2021 season.
“For as long as I have known, Captain’s have worn a Club jacket out to the toss and that tradition had been somewhat left behind here at Leicestershire – I am really looking forward to seeing it in action this Thursday against Hampshire.”
