COVID-19 Guarantee

At Leicestershire County Cricket Club, the health, safety and wellbeing of players, staff and spectators is an absolute priority and the Club will continue to follow Government guidance at all times.

Leicestershire CCC are preparing for a full return to the Uptonsteel County Ground in 2021, however it is acknowledged that restrictions on capacity may be enforced at short notice. The Club have implemented a COVID-19 Guarantee to continue to provide a Defer, Donate or Refund option to any Membership or ticket purchaser, should attendance not be possible in the event of COVID-19 related restrictions.

Should the need arise, for those who choose to donate, the Club, once again, would like to place on record their gratitude for the generosity provided.

For those who choose to defer or ask for a refund, this will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, dependent upon the number of days play that Members are not allowed access to the Uptonsteel County Ground, due to COVID-19 related restrictions. Calculations will be processed after the conclusion of the 2021 season.

Rollback Policy

In the event of the requirement to reduce capacity

Should the capacity at the Uptonsteel County Ground be required to be reduced, to enable further COVID-19 restrictions to be adhered to, and that capacity is below the number of Memberships and tickets already sold in advance for any particular game, a ballot system is deemed the fairest way in which to allocate available seats on a game-by-game basis. The Club will best endeavor at all times to provide the fairest possible solutions to all supporters.

Members will be placed as the top priority for match ticket allocations, above individual match ticket purchasers. Should a restricted capacity be enforced at any time, Members will be contacted by the Club and asked to identify which days of play they plan to attend (and any days they do not plan to attend, therefore freeing up availability to other Members). If the available capacity is below the number of Members who have indicated they wish to attend, a ballot will take place and Members will be notified in advance whether they have been successful or not for each day’s play.

Spectators should note that in the event of capacity restrictions, specific seat requests will not be able to be provided as all tickets will be issued following social distancing guidelines.

Any refunds will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, dependent upon the number of days play that Members are not allowed access to the Uptonsteel County Ground, due to COVID-19 restrictions. Calculations will be processed after the conclusion of the 2021 season. All requests for refunds or deferrals must be received no later than Sunday, October 31, 2021.

Vitality Blast

In the event that ground capacity is restricted for Vitality Blast fixtures due to COVID-19 related issues, Blast Pass holders will receive priority on available seats. Should the capacity be less than the number of Blast Pass holders, a ballot will be undertaken just for Blast Pass holders with all applicants notified at the earliest possible opportunity of the outcome of the ballot. Should any seats remain after the Blast Pass holders have been issued with tickets, individual match ticket holders will then be entered into a separate ballot.
