Seamer Rounds Off Foxes Extensions
Dieter Klein has extended his stay at the Uptonsteel County Ground for an extra year as the Running Foxes prepare for the upcoming 2021 season.
Klein has been a part of the Leicestershire bowling attack since joining in 2016 and now finds himself as an integral member of the Running Foxes squad across all formats.
The German international posted double figure wickets during the condensed 2020 season, with impressive economy rates of 3.49 and 6.60 in the Bob Willis Trophy and Vitality Blast respectively.
The 32-year old was part of the Running Foxes team that were one-ball away from reaching Finals Day in the 2020 edition of the Vitality Blast competition.
Exciting Wicketkeeper Extends Stay with Foxes
Harry Swindells is the latest Running Fox to extend their stay at Grace Road, after penning a 2-year extension.
Swindells, who is a third of the Leicestershire born and bred wicketkeeping contingent at the Club, made his County Championship debut in 2019, having made his List A and T20 debuts the season prior.
The 21-year old rose to be the Running Foxes’ principal wicketkeeper during the 2020 red ball campaign as he appeared behind the stumps in every fixture across the Bob Willis Trophy.
He finished as Leicestershire’s fourth-highest run scorer for in the competition, posting a total of 188 runs in 5 matches at an average of 37.60.
Further, he claimed 11 catches including a very smart grab down to his right to see off Tom Bailey in the opening round victory against Lancashire CCC.
