The Running Foxes are on TikTok
Leicestershire County Cricket Club become one of the first first-class cricket clubs in the UK to join TikTok, the social networking platform for short-form video content.
TikTok is the fastest growing online platform in the world and is especially popular with younger audiences.
The move to join TikTok is an important part of the club’s new strategy to increase the Club’s reach, to attract the new Running Foxes fans to the Foxes family.
If you are not familiar with TikTok, it is the leading destination for short form mobile video whose mission is to inspire creativity and bring joy. Users can create and upload their own videos expressing their flair and passion for creativity.
Leicestershire County Cricket Club Marketing and Communications Executive, Scott Rowland, said: “We have been discussing launching an official TikTok account for the Club. We’ve been experimenting with short form videos on our other social media accounts recently and the spike in engagement has concluded that now is the perfect time.
“We take pride in being one of first first-class cricket clubs to launch a TikTok account, and we are definitely striving to be the best.”
Leicestershire County Cricket Club Marketing Manager, Chloe Dunn said: “At the Club, our marketing and communications strategy is focused upon increasing our reach and driving engagement.
“TikTok is a fantastic platform which will enable us to do both of these things, particularly so with a younger audience, to inspire the next generation of Leicestershire CCC fans, supporters and Members.”
