Virat Kohli's India to Visit Uptonsteel County Ground
The Uptonsteel County Ground is set to play host to the global superstars of Test cricket this summer as Virat Kohli and his Indian team travel to Leicestershire.
India visit England for the alternate tour following England’s tour of India that begins in February.
The two nations are set to battle it out in a five-Test series throughout August and September, and India will travel to the Uptonsteel County Ground for their final warm-up fixture.
A star-studded India side that includes two top-ten Test allrounders, three top-ten Test batsmen and two top-ten Test bowlers will take on India A in a red ball fixture from Wednesday, July 28 to Saturday, July 31.
Leicestershire County Cricket Club Chair, Mehmooda Duke M.B.E., D.L. said: “We are really proud to be hosting such a prestigious fixture here at the Uptonsteel County Ground this summer.
“It will be a unique opportunity for cricket fans from across the region to see these global stars in action over four days in their final warm-up game before the Test series with England.
“We expect demand for tickets to be huge. Sales information will be released shortly, and we encourage fans to look out on social media and on the Leicestershire CCC website for further details”
Tickets will go on sale soon. Fans who sign up to the Register Your Interest window will receive first access to tickets and further information regarding this fixture.
All 2021 Members of Leicestershire CCC will automatically have first priority access to tickets.
The club anticipate there will be an extremely high demand for tickets and actively encourage supporters to register their interest at the earliest possible opportunity.

India also travel south of Leicestershire to Northamptonshire’s County Ground on Wednesday, 21 July ahead of their visit to the Uptonsteel County Ground, also in preparation of their tour of England.
