    The Uptonsteel County Ground has on-site car parking for approximately 200 cars via the Curzon Road entrance. 

    Leicestershire County Cricket Club politely reminds visitors to refrain from parking on roads surrounding the stadium and that local parking restrictions are enforced on matchdays and for large events.

    Off-site car parking for T20, Tourist & International matchdays and concert events is available. Please check on the relevant event information page via the LCCC Website for the nearby car parking arrangements in place for visitors.

    Regular services between London St. Pancras, the East Midlands and Yorkshire, serving Market Harborough, Leicester and Loughborough are operated by East Midlands Railway.

     

    Cross Country Trains run services between Birmingham New Street and Leicester, via Hinckley, Narborough and South Wigston, and between Birmingham New Street and Stansted Airport, via Leicester and Melton Mowbray.

GROUND MAP

As a club, our operations are implemented to make the keep everyone visiting the ground as safe as possible and we are governed by elite sport guidelines. We have to make specific arrangements for managing large crowds and have been working with local Public Health officials, Leicester City Council and the ECB to implement the matchday operations.

The Ground has been sectioned into two specific zones - A and B. The Zones are dependant on where spectators have been allocated their seats. 

For supporters with tickets in the Uptonsteel Stand or the Gallagher Stand, you must enter via the Curzon Road gates.

If you have been allocated tickets in the Melton Building Society Family Stand or the Pavilion Stand, you must enter via the Milligan Road turnstiles.

Food and Drink

When you arrive at the ground, you will be able to purchase tea, coffee, full breakfast, bacon & sausage cobs and a selection of other snacks from the Meet throughout your visit. The Friends of Grace Road also offers tea/coffee and a selection of homemade cakes in the Meet. We offer a two and three course lunchtime menu in the Charles Palmer Suite which can be booked on arrival.

  • Alcohol Policy

    For all fixtures, no alcohol will be allowed into the ground. 


    Members and non-members will be able to obtain alcoholic beverages once inside the ground. This is necessary to ensure the safety of all spectators and the process will be closely managed and controlled by the club and the police who may close bars at any time to restrict consumption.

  • Smoking Policy

    Smoking is not allowed in any seated area within the ground or anywhere in front of the Pavilion Building. Smoking is not permitted in any building or in any covered area which includes - The Meet; Geary, Butler & Burrows Stands; All Executive Rooms; All Hospitality Boxes and Balconies including The David Gower and Charles Palmer Suites and all other covered concourse areas and toilets. Spectators may smoke in uncovered open areas ie: car parks or pathways surrounding the ground well away from fixed seating.

  • Prohibited Items

    For all matches, the following items are prohibited: firearms, weapons, fireworks, any other items considered dangerous. The importation of alcohol, glass bottles and cans is prohibited. Searches and checks of all bags; hampers and containers before the spectator enters the ground are mandatory.

  • Racism Policy

    Spectators are reminded that racially abusive comments and actions will result in ejection from the ground and possible further action.

  • Anti-Courtsiders Policy

    In relation to the cricket match taking place at the ground spectators are not permitted to use a mobile telephone, tablet, laptop, computer or other kind of communication device to either (i) communicate or in any way transmit any form of commentary, data or other material, for any kind of betting or corrupt or unlawful purpose; or (ii) conduct continuous betting trading activity

  • Additional

    •    Failing to comply with directions given by a steward, police officer or club official.

    •    Going on to the playing area at any time, unless specifically authorised by a club official, or interfering with the normal course of play in any manner.

    •    Throwing or discharging missiles or causing an affray.

    •    Obstructing any gangway, passageway, alleyway or doorway.

    •    Climbing on any building, wall or fence.

    •    Defacing or obscuring any notice or advertising displayed within club premises.

    •    Failing to take heed to notices displayed at the exits of the premises and buildings.

    •    Causing nuisance and disturbance to neighbouring premises when leaving the ground.

    •    Offering for sale or distributing on the ground newspapers, periodicals or any other articles without written permission from the Chief Executive Officer on behalf of the Board.

    •    Interfering in any way with the comfort, enjoyment or safety of spectators including:

          a) Drunk and disorderly behaviour.

          b) Singing indecent songs or using indecent language or making indecent gestures.

          c) Making unnecessary noise such as that from the use of radios, whistles, bells, and cans or persistently chanting, in any part of the ground.

          d) Unreasonably obstructing the view of other spectators.

    •    The club reserves the right to: 

          a) Close the bars at any time or to restrict the consumption of alcohol.

          b) Refuse admission to any person.

          c) Prosecute, eject or cause to be ejected by an authorised steward or police officer, anyone contravening these regulations.

    •    For Vitality Blast matches and tourist matches, dogs are not allowed within the ground (except hearing dogs for the deaf or dogs accompanying blind persons). 

    •    Spectators are not permitted to leave and re-enter the ground during Vitality Blast fixtures, unless it is an emergency.

    •    Playing ball games behind seating areas which may inconvenience other spectators is prohibited.

    •    Spectators may not without consent remove any seating sited and provided by the club in order to install personal chairs / seats.

    •    Spectators will not be permitted to remove glass vessels or open bottles from the premises.

    •    Spectators will ensure that they dispose of any empty bottles and any rubbish in the refuse bins provided.


    All cars are parked on LCCC grounds at the owner's own risk.

    All spectators should avoid parking on neighbouring streets.


    In the event of a fire, spectators are requested to assemble on the playing area and await instructions.


    Dogs may be bought into the ground but must be under the complete control of the owner, be on a short lead at all times and never allowed to foul the Uptonsteel County Ground or enter the playing area at any time. Dogs must not enter the children’s playing areas.  Dogs are never permitted in any place where food or drink may be served, unless they are guide dogs. No dogs will be allowed into T20 or International fixtures.

    If you require water for your dog please ask at the outlets, drinking bowels will not be supplied by the club, please ensure you pack your dog’s water bowl.

    Currently we do not have a spending area within the ground for your dog. Visitors with dogs will be directed to the area in the corner by the top of Partners Drive. Please ensure that you clean up after your pet.

Leicestershire County Cricket Club’s ground, the Uptonsteel County Ground, Grace Road, is an accessible ground for disabled supporters and visitors.

There are a continuous, unobstructed access route and a designated car parking area to our principal entrance on Park Hill Drive. The route is free of hazards and has a minimum width of 1800mm.

Ramped access is provided to the Charles Palmer Suite, where there is an accessible toilet, and there is also a new lift to provide access to the upper floor in the Mike Turner Cricket Centre.

Wheelchair users can sit in the disabled access areas which are situated in front of the Charles Palmer Suite. Please speak to one of our stewards on your arrival for more information.

Disabled parking is very limited and is allocated on a first-come first-served basis. For more information as to how to book a parking space for individual matches, please contact the club on 0116 283 2128.

For blind/partially sighted customers, Leicestershire CCC offers regular public address announcements to keep everybody informed of events around the ground/on the field of play.
